We reported on the Sony XF75 and XF80 2018 TV ranges some weeks ago (Sony Launches Four New Mid and Low-Range TVs in Europe) and now Sony has formally announced the ranges as well as another range, the XF70. This LCD-based range will be available in 43″, 49″, 55″ and 65″ sizes with UltraHD and HDR (HLG and HDR10). They are smart sets and have support for Netflix and YouTube as well as special features for integration with PlayStation 4 models.
Analyst Comment
Sony said that the backlight is variable, but didn’t actually say whether the XF70 has directly addressed panels – we suspect not. Although the TVs are on the Sony website, the full technical details are not yet listed.
