Sling Media and ViXS Downconvert for Multiple Streams

Sling Media and ViXS Systems have worked together on a new network transcoder, which uses Sling technology and a ViXS XCode 5190 chipset. The device can perform 2560 x 1440 to 1280 x 720 transcoding, to deliver four independent video feeds to four separate mobile devices. The transcoder is designed to work with both new and existing set-top boxes. It is being shipped now and is being deployed by cable multiple systems operators (MSOs) in the USA.
