Eizo’s new Flexscan monitors feature extremely slim (1mm) physical bezels on the sides and top. Both the EV2455 (24.1″) and EV2450 (23.8″) are designed to be used in multi-monitor setups where space is limited; they are less than 48mm thick. Although they have thin bezels, the internal screen border is 5.2mm and 4.3mm, respectively.
The only difference between the monitors is in size and resolution. The EV2455 is 24.1″ with 1920 x 1200 and the EV2450 is 23.8″ with 1920 x 1080. Both feature an ambient light sensor in the bottom bezel and an ergonomic stand. They can tilt between -5 deg and 35 deg ; swivel 344 deg ; pivot 90 deg ; and are height adjustable to 140mm.
Supporting their use as office monitors, Eizo has built its EcoView technologies into the new Flexscan models. Power consumption is 13W/12W (EV2455/EV2450), while backlight brightness is lowered and gain is raised when showing mostly dark content. They can dim to less than 1% of maximum brightness; a hybrid of DC and high-speed PWM technology enables this feature.
Eizo’s Screenmanager Pro and Monitor Configuration software bundles are pre-installed on the monitors. Screemanager Pro can be used to adjust colour and Ecoview settings with the mouse and keyboard, as well as enabling colour matching between monitors. System adminstrators can use Monitor Configurator to control the settings of all Flexscan EV monitors with a USB connection. Settings can be copied from one monitor to others.
Movie, Paper, sRGB and two modes with user-adjustable settings can be used to view content.
An IPS panel provides 178 deg viewing angles, a 1,000:1 contrast ratio and 5ms (grey-to-grey) response time on both monitors. They have 250 cd/m
