Sky Deutschland Launches Sky Ticket TV Stick

Sky Deutschland has launched the Sky Ticket TV Stick. Developed in partnership with Roku, the device connects to any TV with an HDMI input and uses Wi-Fi to provide access to TV shows, movies and live sports in up to 1080p resolution. Many apps are available already, including the media libraries of ARD and ZDF, as well as YouTube and Vimeo.

The stick costs €30 (about $35) and includes €30 worth of “tickets”. Users can claim three Entertainment tickets, with access to exclusive series such as Sky Originals and international series from HBO, Showtime, Fox or TNT; two Cinema tickets for the latest movies and over a thousand on-demand; or a Sports ticket, which includes exclusive live sports such as Bundesliga, 2nd Bundesliga, DFB Cup, UEFA Champions League, handball, tennis and golf.

Sky Ticket apps are also available for iOS, Apple TV, Android, web, Chromecast, game consoles and Samsung and LG TVs, all with a redesigned user interface. Customers can now use the “Look Away” feature to continue watching content wherever they left off across devices. With the personal watch list, customers can also easily save content for later.
