MediaMarkt Saturn is trialling a new retail concept in Austria. At a new Saturn Express in Innsbruck, customers can use a special app at the shelf to scan a QR code on the item which gives both more information and lets customers pay for the item immediately. The system is the only way to pay at the store, which no longer has cashiers. The app and process was developed with MishiPay of the UK.
