NextTV reports that Roku and Google have finally resolved their dispute over the carriage of YouTube and YouTube TV in a multi-year agreement. The dispute had gone on since April and there was a threat that, unless resolved, the YouTube app would disappear from the Roku app tomorrow, December 9th. No details of the deal were released.
What We Think
Sometimes, despite the fact that both sides might be damaged, disputes do escalate, to nobody’s advantage. This one however, does seem to have been fully resolved. (BR)
