A company called RIF6 showed a new pico projector at CES that we missed at the show. ‘The Cube’ is said to be the first projector built specifically for smart devices, featuring MHL-HDMI for compatibility.
In addition to being designed for mobile devices, the projector itself is mobile, measuring 51 x 51 x 51mm and weighing 136g. It is supplied with a flexible tripod.
Display resolution is 854 x 480. An LED light source delivers up to 50 lumens of brightness, and the projector can show an image sized up to 120″. Throw ratio is 1.99:1 and contrast is 1,000:1. A speaker is built in.
RIG6 is selling its tiny projector now, for $300.
