Raythink’s ARHUD Utilizing OpticalCore PGU and Wave-Layer 3D Display Technology Launched

Raythink, an AR HUD solutions provider, is launching the world’s first augmented reality (AR) head-up display (HUD) utilizing its proprietary OpticalCore PGU and wave-layer 3D display technology. This innovative technology offers multiple field of views (FOVs) with pedestrian detection, lane departure warning (LDW), AR navigation, and other assisted driving functions. It integrates with the real environment by providing a larger FOV and a longer virtual image distance (VID).

The OpticalCore PGU module uses LBS-based technology, which reduces the cost and system footprint of HUDs while increasing FOV and image contrast. This allows for wide-angle coverage across three lanes without light window effects, delivering superior performance and reduced power consumption.

Raythink’s AR HUD software, bundled into the AR Generator software development kit (SDK), powers functions such as AR display adjustment, AR navigation, LDW, pedestrian collision warning (PCW), and forward collision warning (FCW) with the help of artificial intelligence (AI). It enables real-time traffic information projection on the front windshield, providing a better driving experience.

Raythink aims to expand its production line, streamline the development of innovative light sources, and develop the next generation of AR HUDs for the digital large-screen immersive displays defining future vehicles.
