LG has released pricing information for its 2018 range of OLED televisions, starting at $3,000 for the 55″ C8 model, up to the 77″ W8 at $15,000.
- 55″ LG C8 – $2999.99
- 65″ LG C8 – $3999.99
- 77″ LG C8 – $9999.99
- 55″ LG E8 – $3499.99
- 65″ LG E8 – $4499.99
- 77″ LG W8 – $14999.99
Pricing for the B8 range, as well as the 65″ W8 model is yet to be announced. LG’s 2018 range is expected to ship during March or April.
Analyst Comment
Separately, head of LG’s home entertainment business, Kwon Bong-suk, told the press that the company’s OLED range will account for 20% of its total TV shipments this year, up 5% from the previous year. Kwon also said that the company intends to push OLED even further going forward. LG reportedly estimates that it will be able to produce 10 million units annually by 2021, accounting for 5% of global market share. The prices are higher than the current prices for LG’s 2017 models, but below those prices at the time of launch. (AF)
