Vivitek’s new DLP projectors (DX813 and DX814) are bright, portable models. They weigh just over 3kg and measure 314 x 216 x 126mm, with a top-loading lamp (240W). Both have power-saving options such as eco mode, auto power off and standby mode.
The projectors are only differentiated by their resolution: 1024 x 768 on the DX813 and 1280 x 800 on the DX814. They feature six-segment colour wheels and are networkable, compatible with Crestron, AMX, Extron and Telnet systems.
Brightness is 3,500 lumens and lamp life is between 3,500 and 7,000 hours. The units have a 15,000:1 contrast ratio and 1.6 – 1.92:1 throw ratio. They can throw a 25.6″ – 256″ image from 1m – 10m from the projection surface.
Both projectors have a 1.2x optical zoom, 113% offset and +/-40° vertical keystone correction. As well as a 10W speaker, they feature HDMI, VGA (x2), S-Video, composite, USB-A, mini-USB-B, RJ45 and RS232 connections.
The projectors are on sale now. They cost £430 ($675) (DX813) and £460 ($720) (DX814) ex VAT.
