Pokemon Effect is Short-Lived

We reported at the end of October that researchers had found that the Pokemon Go craze had encouraged more movement and excercise (And finally… Pokemon Go Makes You Healthier!). Sadly, the effect has been short-lived and recent research has suggested that after playing for a while, players went back to their previous habits. Initially, a study from Harvard University, published in the British Medical Journal, showed that keen players took 955 extra steps per day in the first week of playing, but by week six, activity was back to the pre-playing level.
