The Sony PlayStation Pro, which has enhanced graphics with 4K/UHD and HDR for streamed video and suitably adapted games, is now going on sale in Europe and the US at €400/$400. (Sony’s PlayStation “Pro” Adds HDR & UHD)
Analyst Comment
At the moment, the software support for the extra power in the Pro versio is patchy, but over time, the Pro should offer a better experience as support arrives. The surprise remains that the Pro doesn’t offer UltraHD Blu-ray playback (otherwise it would be on my Christmas list!). Of course, it does leave the option open to Sony to introduce another version with that feature, later and (probably) at a higher price. BR
