Philips Wants a Slice of Apple’s MacBook Audience With New Professional IPS Display

The Philips 27E2F7901 Creator series monitor – a new product from the company aiming, perhaps for the first time, at professionals – has been launched on Amazon at a budget-friendly price of $499.99. This 27″ 4K IPS Black screen monitor is designed for those in visually-demanding professions, delivering deeper blacks and vibrant colors, enhancing the contrast ratio.

The Creator has a 3840 x 2160 4K UHD resolution display capable of displaying up to 1.07 billion colors. It covers a wide color gamut, including sRBG at 100%, and is an especially good fit for MacBook users with its DCI-P3 at 98% compatibility, considering Apple’s own 5K 27-inch Studio display costs about three times as much. It also has VESA DisplayHDR 400 certification augmented by the HDR HLG standard. Connectivity is DisplayPort 1.4 at 32.4 Gbit/s transfer rates, and a versatile USB-C hub with 96W power delivery. The Philips 27E2F7901 comes with eye care technologies like LowBlue mode and Flicker Free technology and has a Calman certification.
