Philips Monitor Range is Boosted

MMD has added two new monitors to its Philips range in Europe. The 43” Philips Momentum 436M6VBPAB is the first monitor of the Philips Momentum Line and it features an UltraHD VA panel with colours enhanced by quantum dot technology. The high end monitor is the first to meet the Vesa DisplayHDR 1000 labelling scheme and was announced a while ago, but is now being made available. MMD Claims First VESA DisplayHDR 1000 Monitor Pricing in the market is around $1,000 in the US, €1,000 in Europe.

The second monitor is the 278E9 which is a curved 27″ unit with FullHD resolution from its 1800R VA panel. Features include support for FreeSync and the monitor costs £199 in the UK ($220 + tax). Output is 250 cd/m², contrast is 3,000:1, response time is 4ms and colour gamut is described as 102% of NTSC and 128% of sRGB. As well as HDMI and DisplayPort, the monitor has a VGA input and also has stereo speakers.

The Philips 278E9 uses a cuved VA panel
