Innolux & AUO Agree on Tight Supply

Taiwanese sources report that the CEOs of both Innolux and AUO both said at Touch Taiwan that they expected panel supply to be tight until the end of 2016. Panel makers have restricted supply and both LG and Samsung have closed or disposed of older fabs. Chinese makers remain behind the technology curve. The long-standing trend to larger panel sizes for TVs has meant an increase in glass area being taken, which is helping to keep supply tight.
