A new tool, specifically for Internet of Things devices, has been developed by ARM. The ‘Mbed IoT Device Platform’ is an open-standards operating system. A 12″ Macbook Air is being produced, in low quantities, by Quanta Computer, say Asian sources. Output is scheduled to increase beginning next month. In an interview with Bloomberg, Oculus VR founder and CEO Brendan Iribe has hinted that the Oculus Rift might (finally) reach consumers next year. Iribe said that the Rift will be available “pretty soon… [in] more than a few months…[but] less than a few years”.
