Entropic has announced that it will no longer produce SoC devices for use in set-top boxes. The company will continue to supply its STB SoCs that are already in production and believes that the business will contribute ‘meaningful revenue’ for the next three years. The CEA has predicted a 2.5% YoY increase in spending on technology products during the end-of-year shopping season in 2014.
