UK Government Allocates Wearable Fund

The UK government’s technology strategy board, Innovate UK, has allocated a £210,000 ($319,200) fund to drive innovation in wearable technology. Six winners of a wearables competetion will each receive £35,000 ($53,200). Hannstar’s 2014 Sales Fell 25%

Hannstar Display reported a 24.7% drop in sales for 2014, falling to NT$23.7 billion ($748.2 million). In December, sales of NT$2 billion ($63.1 million) were 1.8% lower than November but 5.2% higher than December 2013. The company’s total panel shipments also declined year on year. Christie Partners with Sahara

Christie has signed a new partnership agreement with Sahara Benelux which will distribute Christie’s range of displays in the Netherlands and Belgium. Sahara Benelux will offer Christie’s full range of products, including flat screens, Brio, MicroTiles, Velvet indoor LEDs and projectors. Christie will be at ISE in Amsterdam in February on booth 1-H50.
