Philips to Sell Lumiblade OLED Lighting Unit
Philips is reported to have confirmed that it plans to sell its Lumiblade OLED lighting unit and is already in talks with potential buyers. A spokesman for the company said that he believes the sale could help the group achieve its goal of bringing OLED lighting to the mass market by 2016/2017.
LG Display Suspected as Sole Apple Watch Supplier
JJ Park, an analyst with JP Morgan, claims that LG Display is the sole supplier of the plastic OLED screen used on the Apple Watch. Park believes that as many as 29 million Apple Watches could be shipped this year, and 61 million in 2016.
