White Box Phablets in First-Ever Decline

According to Etmag, Chinese vendors’ white-box phablet shipments suffered their first-ever YoY decline (-15%) in Q2’15. Poor market conditions and growing branded phablet shipments contributed to the fall. Sales of white-box units have been falling in several main markets since Q4’14, due to local currency depreciations, said Etmag, which did not name its source.
