Intel’s Refresh Drives Axiomtek Player

OPS883 is Axiomtek’s newest digital signage player, supporting UltraHD resolution and dual displays. It is based on Intel’s 22nm ‘Haswell Refresh’ chips. The OPS architecture means that the player can be slotted into the rear of a compatible display.

The OPS player features a 2.5″ HDD tray and an optional mSATA interface, for storage, as well as a PCIe Express Mini card slot; this can support a GPU, wireless LAN card or 3G/4G modules. Intel’s Active Management Technology (AMT 9.0) is also built in, which is said to simplify the integration process.

Intel’s Q87 chipset can support Core i3/i5/i7 Celeron processors. Up to 8GB of RAM can be installed. HDMI, USB 2.0 (x2), USB 3.0, RJ45 and RS232 ports are featured. The OPS JAE interconnector can support additional interfaces, such as DisplayPort.

Axiomtek will start selling the OPS883 in September.
