A federal appeals court in Washington has overturned a $120 million infringement ruling, made in Apple’s favour, against Samsung. E Ink Holdings is developing products larger than its current maximum of 32″, some of which will be released this year, according to company president Frank Ko. However, the firm only has a G2.5 factory and will likely need to partner with panel makers such as AUO, CPT and Innolux.
We went along to see Tianma which was showing its first flexible OLED sample (pictured), a 5.46″ diagonal display with 720 x 1280 resolution (270ppi) and curvable at radiuses of 20mm. By the end of 2016, Netflix’s programming should include 600 hours of UltraHD content, the company told CNBC at MWC. The company is in no rush to create VR content, however.
