Celestica reported Q1 net profit of CA$ 25.6 million ($20.3 million), up 30% YoY from CA$ 19.7 million ($15.6 million). Turnover for the period was CA$ 1.3 billion ($1 billion), up 4% YoY. The Diversified business, which represents a third of the business, grew 24% YoY.
AMD reported Q1 net loss of $109 million, down 40% YoY from $180 million. Turnover for the period was $832 million, down 20% YoY from $1 billion. Lower product volumes across segments were responsible for the weaker financials.
