NEC reported 2016 year end net profit of 26.4 billion yen ($246 million), up 4.4% YoY from 22 billion yen ($206 million). Turnover was 2.8 trillion yen ($26.4 billion), down 3.9% YoY from 2.9 trillion yen ($27.1 billion).
JVC Kenwood reported 2016 year end net profit of 3.2 billion yen ($30 million), down 32% YoY from 4.6 billion yen ($43 million). Turnover was 292 billion yen ($2.7 billion), up 2.5% YoY from 285 billion yen ($2.6 billion).

Switzerland’s national telco, Swisscom, gained 36,000 IPTV customers in Q1’16, for a total of almost 1.4 million. Customers grew by 166,000 in the past 12 months (13.8% YoY). At the same time, Swiss cable operators fell by 127,000 (4.8%), for a total of 2.5 million subscribers.
