Orange has shown off a new UltraHD set-top box in France, which also enabled multiscreen connectivity throughout the home. The ‘Livebox’ can be used for both live and VoD UltraHD viewing. BenQ’s PV270 LCD monitor (BenQ Combines Technologies for Colour Consistency) has been awarded with the Technicolor Color Certified certification. It is said to be the world’s first display with four accurate Technicolour colour spaces: DCI-P3, Adobe RGB, Rec.709 and sRGB. Portrait Displays provided the colour software for the monitor.
To demonstrate its scaling and switching technology, Calibre UK will replicate the installation of retro 80s arcade games that it was showing at ISE 2016 at this year’s Infocomm show (Las Vegas, 4th-10th June). The individual who gets the highest score over the course of the show will win an LEDView or HQView 4k scaler-switcher.
