We reported on a strategic deal between Dispelix and OQmented back in June (Dispelix and OQmented Form Strategic Partnership) and a couple of weeks ago, we reported that Dispelix had got new investment AR Waveguide Leader Dispelix Announces $33M Investment. Around the same time, OQmented also reported that it had raised an additional $9.3 million of investment.
OQmented announced earlier in this year that it was working with STMicroelectronics for the manufacture of its ‘Bubble MEMS’ devices which have a patented 3D glass-encapsulation approach to hermetic vacuum sealing of its micro-mirrors.
What We Think
The two companies were at the recent AWE event to show how the OQmented MEMS-based LBS microprojectors can be combined with the Dispelix waveguides. (BR)
