Optoma Adds Darbee Version to Gaming Projector

Optoma has launched a version of its GT1080e projector that has added Darbee Visual Presence image enhancement technology. It also features an Enhanced Gaming Mode with 16ms input latency. The projector is the second to use the processing, after the HD28DSE and Optoma said that it supports Rec. 709, although brightness with this setting is not stated.

The GT1080Darbee has 3,000 Ansi lumens of output from a 0.65″ DarkChip3 DLP and 195W lamp and uses a short throw fixed lens that allows a 100″ FullHD image at just over a metre away from the screen, with a throw ratio of 0.49:1. Contrast is quoted at 28,000:1 There are dual HDMI inputs to allow connections to video and gaming devices and MHL is supported to allow connections including Optoma’s HDCast Pro, Roku sticks or mobile devices. Audio is 16W mono.
