Opera TV has expanded its partnerships and has joined forces with JW Player, a digital and mobile video platform and player company. Together, Opera TV Snap and JW Player will enable JW Players’ over two million supported websites, to package online video channels into ready-to-run TV apps.
Opera TV Snap was first launched in 2013 and supported only one video platform, now it is claimed to be a one-stop shop for multiple platforms including Brightcove Video Cloud, DailyMotion and channel formats like Media RSS. JW Player users can now create a smart TV app directly from their video catalogue due to the pre-integration of Opera TV and JW Player clouds.
The seamless integration between Opera TV Snap and individual JW Player video catalogues, dynamically loads content, and launches apps for smart TV, Blu-ray players and set-top devices all free of charge to JW Player users.
