Ofcom: VoD Use Still Rising

In the 2016 Communications Market report, UK regulator Ofcom has found that 27% of households now own a smart TV; almost 60% of adults used a VoD service in 2015; and 26% watch paid VoD services every week (Netflix was the most popular) – up from 18% in 2014. DTT was the most common reception method, followed by pay digital satellite (which plateaued in 2011) and digital cable. FTA digital satellite and IPTV are at similar levels.
