Nikon Promotes 360 Camera

Nikon held an event in New York to promote its recently released KeyMission 360 action camera. The company showed content uploaded to YouTube and viewed on Cardboard and Daydream devices. 8ninths, a creative company, is creating a 360º film of an Everest climb that is being produced for Sports Illustrated. Heather Raikes (no relation to our editor, as far as we know) of 8ninths said that the experience of watching is “authentic, real, kind of slice-of-life.”

In a panel session, advice was given about how to create content and it was suggested that content creators needed to think more like game-designers than movie directors.
