New Report Shows 73% Of Broadcasters Plan to Use 5G for Live Video Contribution Within Two Years

Haivision, a provider of real-time video networking and collaboration solutions, has released its fourth annual Broadcast Transformation Report, which surveyed more than 700 broadcast and media professionals around the world. The report found that broadcasters continue to adopt network technologies such as cloud, IP, and 5G, while on-premise operations remain critical. The data also showed that Haivision’s SRT protocol is now the industry’s gold standard for contribution over IP networks, with 68% of respondents using it for live video transport. Additionally, 73% of broadcasters surveyed plan to use 5G for broadcast contribution in the next two years.
