What They Say
A YouTuber, Brad Lynch, appears to have leaked details of the design of the next HTC VR headset which combines the slim form factor of the Vive Flow with the standalone features of the Focus (so he’s calling it the Flowcus). The displays are said to be 1920 x 1920 120Hz LCDs with mechanical IPD adjustment and pancake lenses. The headset is reported to have four monochrome tracking cameras and an RGB camera for passthrough.
The YouTube uses rendered images that were based on leaked photos, the producer claims.
The headset does not have eye tracking, but there is said to be a USB-C connector that might be used to connect some kind of upgrade, he said.
What We Think
This looks like an attractive design if the renders are to be believed. BR)
