LG Achieves 1,400 Lumens on LED Projector

LG has announced a new DLP LED projector in the Mini Beam Pro series: the PF1500. Mini Beam Pro is the top end of the company’s portable range; the projector has 1,400 lumens of brightness and 1920 x 1080 resolution.

Some of the features on the PF1500 are usually not found on portable models, such as +/-15° four-point vertical and horizontal keystone correction. 3D projection is supported (with a 2D-to-3D converter), as well as wireless projection through WiDi and Miracast.

The LED light source will last for 30,000 hours. The projector features a 1.1x manual zoom, manual focus, LG claims, 110% NTSC coverage. It will turn on and off in 10 seconds and can throw a 20″ – 120″ image (1.4:1 throw ratio).

Dual HDMI inputs (one with MHL), VGA and USB ports are featured, as well as two 3W speakers. The unit has an external power supply, so the housing is relatively small (132 x 84 x 220mm, 1.5kg).

LG will launch the PF1500 in May, for €840 ex VAT.
