Squats for Subway Rides in Mexico City

To combat rising obesity levels in Mexico, officials in Mexico City are offering free tickets on the metro trains to passengers who indulge in some light exercise. Thirty ‘health stations’ have been installed at 15 subway platforms, which will dispense a ticket for a free ride to people who perform 10 squats. Each station has an LCD screen that shows calories burned, among other information.
