NCR Corp has used Microsoft’s Windows 10 Internet of Things (IoT) Enterprise software with a “leading European financial institution”.
The implementation, a first for the global retail banking industry, will enable banks to future-proof their ATMs and to deliver improved functionality, including contactless access, where customers can withdraw cash by tapping their card or smartphone at the machine, mobile-like interactions such as pinch, swipe and zoom, and upgraded security measures.
