A hat tip to Broadband TV News for pointing out that now that Modern Times Group (MTG) has sold its Bulgarian broadcast business, Nova, it is now out of the business in Central and Eastern Europe, although five years ago, it was in eight markets. The move out started when Russia changed its regulations on media ownership. The Swedish company is re-postitioning itself as a ‘global digital entertainer’ and has moved into areas including esports, digital video networks and online gaming.
