The BBC is trialing a way for people to control their TV using the power of their thoughts. BBC Digital created the prototype with The Place. 10 BBC employees used a headset, measuring electrical activity in the brain, to open the iPlayer and start viewing a programme, without touching a physical controller. Concentrating hard enough sends a signal to undertake a specific function.
In the past, we have seen similar concepts from Haier (Display Monitor Vol 19 No 3) and Rovi (Display Monitor Vol 21 No 3). (TA)
