Midwich in the UK has acquired 100% of PSCo Group for an undisclosed sum. PSCo is a trade-only rental and technical distributor which specialises in the latest display solutions.
PSCo will continue under the leadership of managing director Stuart Holmes who commented that the acquisition will allow the company to “focus on the areas where we believe we truly add value to our trade partners”, adding that PSCo has seen 12 months of ‘exceptional’ growth.
Stephen Fenby, managing director of Midwich said that customers will now be able to benefit from enhanced technical support, access to new technologies and specialist delivery services, while vendors will benefit from the additional resource and expertise on offer.
Analyst Comment
By chance, we reported last week on both these companies, which had been appointed by Sharp as distributors – so that company may have some work to do to add another partner! Midwich dominates the A/V channel in the UK and PSCo has an unusually value-added approach and has done a lot of work on small pitch LED over the last year or two that could help Midwich as this segment develops.
