What They Say
TriLite, a maker of microprojectors for AR & VR based in Vienna, Austria, has raised €8 million in investment from VCs including Apex Ventures, B&C Innovation Investments, Hermann Hauser Investment, TEC Ventures and QC·Ventures following a 2019 seed round. The engine is based on an RGB laser source and MEMs mirror imager and the firm claims it is the smallest projection device in the world.
The company said that it has also invested in supporting software, which makes it simple for developers to adopt its solutions. The software is reported to include proprietary calibration algorithms that enable the size and complexity of the optical system to be minimized.
What We Think
We first reported on Trixel in 2015 and at that time it had been in development for four years.
