LG Electronics has announced its 2024 range of QNED and QNED MiniLED TVs, introducing a variety of screen sizes, including a new 98-inch model. The lineup is characterized by improved picture quality and design features.
Central to the 2024 QNED TVs is the upgraded α8 AI Processor, which shows notable enhancements over previous models. This processor offers increased AI performance, better graphic performance, and quicker processing speeds. The AI Picture Pro feature in these TVs uses deep learning algorithms to optimize picture quality, aiming to make scenes more realistic. Another feature, Dynamic Tone Mapping Pro, works to optimize HDR content by analyzing different parts of the image in real-time.
Audio quality is addressed with the AI Sound Pro feature, which creates virtual 9.1.2 surround sound using the TV’s built-in speakers. The WOW Orchestra feature integrates the LG Sound Bar with the TV speakers for a more immersive audio experience.
In terms of visual technology, LG’s Quantum Dot and NanoCell color technologies are used in these TVs. The QNED Mini LED TV QNED90 model includes the Million Grey Scale feature for more detailed contrast representation. The design of the 2024 QNED TVs, including models QNED85 and QNED80, features a slim 29mm profile. These models are designed for versatility in placement, including wall mounting options.
LG’s webOS Re:New program is set to update its smart TV platform over the next five years, extending to more models and regions. This upgrade allows for individual user profiles and personalized recommendations based on viewing history. The latest webOS version includes a Dynamic Q Card for quick access to services and supports Apple AirPlay and Chromecast for improved device connectivity. Accessibility has been a focus in the 2024 QNED TVs, with features like dedicated menu settings and sign language avatars being included.
The new LG QNED TV lineup will be displayed at CES 2024, taking place January 9-12, 2024 at the Las Vegas Convention Center, booth #16008.
