At a media briefing in Seoul recently, LG has confirmed that it will leave the plasma TV market ‘in the near future’ – following Samsung’s exit earlier this year (Display Monitor Vol 21 No 27).
Ha Hyun-hwoi, president of LG Electronics’ home entertainment division, told Korean media that it was a case of when, not if, production will be suspended. An official announcement will be made in the future.
