LG Electronics has announced the global launch of its first-ever digital signage projector, the LG ProBeam 4K UHD (model BU70QGA), starting in the U.S. this month. This projector is designed to cater to a variety of business settings, including art galleries, corporate lobbies, retail stores, showrooms, conference halls, and auditoriums.
The LG ProBeam offers 4K UHD (3,840 x 2,160) resolution images, a 3,000,000:1 contrast ratio, and sizes ranging from 40 to 300 inches. With a peak brightness of 7,000 ANSI lumens, the highest of any LG projector, the BU70QGA is capable of delivering sharp images even in bright daylight conditions. The projector also features a reliable laser light source, lens shift, 1.6x optical zoom, built-in wireless connectivity, and an integrated camera for easy setup and positioning.
Edge blending technology allows the projector to connect seamlessly with overlapping light from two or more projectors, making it possible to create panoramic images and immersive viewing experiences using up to nine BU70QGA projectors. This feature is particularly beneficial for museums and art galleries seeking large, captivating visuals.
The LG ProBeam boasts a range of professional-quality video features and versatile capabilities, making it suitable for diverse business environments. The Auto Screen Adjustment feature enables users to quickly calibrate the image to the projection screen and correct image distortion with a single click. LG’s AI sensing technology also evaluates and automatically adjusts lens shift, zoom, focus, and warp distortion to optimize the projected image for an improved viewing experience.
Powered by a high-performance System-on-Chip (SoC), the projector can handle multiple tasks simultaneously, ensure smooth content playback, and offer an intuitive UI and simple app development tools. The BU70QGA is also compatible with LG ConnectedCare, a cloud-based device management solution for LG digital signage and display devices. Equipped with webOS 6.0, the ProBeam enables third-party providers to integrate projection capabilities into their offerings, thereby expanding LG’s extensive signage ecosystem.
