Jo Seong-jin is now the sole CEO of LG Electronics, overseeing over 120 country organisations. As one of three directors responsible for central decisions, he was previously head of Home Appliances and Air Solutions. Following Jo’s promotion, this position will now be taken by Song Dae-hyun, currently head of the CIS region and president of LG Russia.

I had a number of emails from correspondents who wondered if this would mean a move towards appliances, but LG is already heavily involved in that business, where it is one of the companies trying to make appliances about technology and not just price. (BR)
