We reported recently that LG had invested in QD developer and maker, Nanosys. We confirmed this as LG Display recently made the following statement in an SEC filing (in August).
“In May 2018, we acquired 5,699,954 voting common shares of Nanosys Inc. for W10,732 million. As of June 30, 2018, our percentage ownership interest in Nanosys Inc. is 4%, and we are entitled to appoint one director of Nanosys Inc.”
Nanosys has recently added to its board of directors with a new member, Dr Joun-Ho Lee of LG Display. He is a a division leader in the Material Research Division.
