What They Say
Invidis seems to have been able to attend an event by Lang AG in Germany and had a chance to look at a new Leyard TXP LED screen with touch. It’s available as a monolithic solution in 108″ (1.2mm pitch) or 135″ (1.8mm pitch), both with FullHD resolution and infrared touch. Weight is 104kg or 130kg, respectively, and the displays are mounted with wheels.
The firm reported that the display has a smooth surface but not quite the same as the glass on an LCD. The firm highlighted that the height of the display meant that a pointer stick is needed for full interactivity.
What We Think
SMD LEDs are very easy to detach from the surface of the LED wall, so to use them for touch, they need to be protected in some way with film or other materials.
Leyard has recently held a webinar to launch its latest AT series earlier this week. The cabinet design is especially thin and is made in Europe. (BR)
