MuxLab of Canada has released an HDMI 2.0 fibre extender system that can support DCI 4K (4096 x 2160) resolution at 60fps at up to 100m distance (330′). The transmitter offers the option of receiving power from its USB port or from the sources HDMI connection. The system supports HDMI 2.0, CEC, EDID and HDCP 2.2.
Panasonic has started shipping the 2018 OLED TVs that were shown at CES in Europe. (Panasonic Fills In Europe LCD TV Line-up). This year’s sets are priced below the level set at the time of the 2017 range launch.

We heard on our recent trip to the US that Panasonic remains in the TV set business in Canada, even though it doesn’t ship in the US, except for professional grading. (BR)
