A 65″ version of Hisense‘s XT910 TV (Secret of Hisense’s ULED Tech is Revealed) has been launched in the UK. It is a ‘ULED’ model, meaning that it is UltraHD with quantum dots, backlight scanning and 240 dimmable zones. The TV is curved, with HEVC decoding, and will support HDR through a firmware update later this year. It will cost £1,920 ($2,920).

US TV maker Izon is now taking pre-orders for 50″ and 65″ UltraHD TVs, which it is producing using 3D technology from Stream TV Networks. The companies announced their partnership at CES this year (Stream TV Looks To Gaming and Signage). Izon is also developing content for the Ultra-D format. Initial deployments have been made at Florida State and Duke Universities. Products should be shipped in Q1’16.

Panasonic has released a high-performance version of its 20″ Windows 10 tablet (Panasonic Brings Windows 10 to Toughpad), called the Toughpad FZ-Y1 Performance. Designed for 3D and CAD applications, the tablet features a Core i7 processor and 16GB of RAM, rather than a Core i5 and 16GB. It will be available from late December, for €4,300.

In addition, Panasonic has launched a cashback promotion on its Viera TVs, home theatre products, Lumix G cameras and home appliances, in Germany and Austria. Customers will receive up to €400 back when purchasing certain products, during the end-of-year sales period.

Review Display Systems, in the UK, is now stocking additional sizes of display from Tianma/NLT. The TM035HDHT1, TM097TDH02 and TM150TDSG70 are 3.5″ (320 x 240), 9.7″ (1024 x 768) and 15″ (1025 x 768).
