Acer Widens Monitor Reach in USA

Acer has launched two new ultra-wide 34″ monitors in the USA, for professionals and consumers working with graphic-intensive applications.

Both displays have a 21:9 aspect ratio, with resolutions of 3440 x 1440 (B346CK) and 2560 x 1080 (B346C). They use IPS panels and share most specifications; aside from resolution, the only differences are in brightness and colour depth: 320 cd/m² and 10-bit on the B346CK, and 300 cd/m² and 8-bit on the BB346C.

Acer’s Comfyview technology protects users’ eyes by reducing reflectiveness, using a polariser film. The units also feature an ergonomic stand, which enables -5° – 25° tilt, 120° swivel and 150mm height adjustment.

The screens cover 100% sRGB, with six-axis colour adjustment. They have 178° viewing angles, a 6ms response time and feature DisplayPort, MHL-HDMI and USB 3.0 inputs.

Acer is selling the B346CK and B346C now, for $800 and $600, respectively.
