What They Say
Kebotix Inc, a US chemistry company founded in 2017 and that has developed AI to design molecules, has said that it has targeting mid-2022 to start testing new solution-processable OLED materials. The company said it sees applications in “smart label packaging, wearable sensors, automotive and other markets in which production costs are crucial factors”.
Last month, Kebotix signed a deal for non-related materials with Mitsubishi Chemicals.
What We Think
Kebotix is very vague about the kind of materials that it has developed and we have reached out to the firm to find out more. Kyulux and others are also using AI for chemical development. However, companies such as UDC have long highlighted how many different factors go into making a succesful OLED material.
(Update – Kebotix confirmed to us that it has developed emitter materials.) (BR)
