Japanese Cable Cos Plan for UltraHD

The Nikkei Asian Review reports that 39 companies in the cable business in Japan are teaming up to deliver UltraHD content. The hope is to eventually get to 370 companies and 110 have so far expressed interest. J:Com is a market leader, Nikkei said, and is owned by KDDI and Sumitomo and is involved. The programming will be performed by Japan Digital Serve.
